Based on my observations (and experience), most guys think that they have to impress a girl in order to date her. Unfortunately, that is completely the wrong approach; if you learn how to date a girl from guys who already did it, you’ll discover that putting fake attitude or lying won’t lead to healthy relationship. Being honest is the best way to start it; you may not get the result that you want, but it is better than get ditched later when she found out about your lies.
That being said, there is no need to spill all your problems and troubles to her. Girls like men who can take care of his own problem, so during conversation, keep the topic about yourself minimum and focus on her interest and your common ground. Try to keep mental note on what she said about herself as those can be useful later. Avoid moody topics like politics, war, or economy. Also, act naturally and avoid overly compliment her; you don’t want to look as being needy or desperate.

If you want to learn how to date a girl successfully, get used to MAINTAIN eye contact. Most guys can’t look at the eye of the girl they like directly because it makes them nervous. If she realized that, you’ll place yourself below her and she may thinks you’re not on her level. Don’t let this happen to you; maintain eye contact and keep your body relaxed to show that you’re on the same level as her and you are confident enough being around her.
Watch how you treat her. I’ve read a lot of dating guide that tell you to act “all high and mighty” in front of her in order to convey “I don’t really care for you but you can be my girlfriend” message. This approach can work and you’ll position yourself in control over her all the time. The other approach is being too nice; do whatever she wants and go whenever she told you. With this approach, most of the time you’ll end up as her “courier” or “best friend”, but sometimes it works too.
So, how to date a girl while treating her properly? The answer is between both of them. You want to place yourself on the same level as her and respect her opinion and expectation, not controlling her or being controlled by her. This is easier to be said than done, but basically you must treat her as your equal “partner”, not “master” or “slave”. This is especially necessary if the girl is an attractive girl with so many other guys ready to do anything for her or try to attract her by treats her like a bitch; either way, you’ll need to make her notice that you like her for the way she is (attitude, hopes, dreams, expectation, behavior, etc), not only for her looks.
If you’ve read all the above suggestions, I think you already know how to date a girl, but let just round it up:
1. Be honest from the start; no one likes to be lied to and a fake beginning will guarantee short term relationship. Do not place yourself below her or vice versa; stay cool and confident being around her.
2. Treat the girl as a human with ideas and emotions, not just sex object or anything that based only on her looks. Appreciate her passion and dreams and keep looking for your common ground.
Being know how to date a girl doesn’t mean that you’ll always get the girl you want, but it will give you healthy relationship that based on respect. Remember that if someone can’t accept you the way you are, you’ll find someone else that can.
