How to Pick Up a Girl – Win the Battle after You Approach Her
People that already know how to pick up a girl always suggest one golden rule: self-confidence. Being overly nervous around your target won’t help and it will only make her looks down on you. With so many guys wonder how to pick up a girl in a club, I’m going to focus on that here. So here is what you should do: get involved (chatting, dancing, or other social activities), scan the arena for eye contact with a few potential targets, read her body language when your eyes meet hers; if she seems interested in you (your intuition will not always right), get up and approach her.

If this is your first time, do this against large group may out of your league and the situation can develop to something out of your control, so pick a group of three or four. Make sure she sees you when you walk toward her; keep relaxed, smile, confident, walk steadily, and keep upright posture. You will be checked out and you have to make good impression.
The next is opening conversation. If there is empty seat beside her, you can simply use the classic “excuse me, is this seat taken?” line. Otherwise, you can talk directly to her using lines such as “you remind me of [famous celebrity], I guess you get that often?” or “that is really nice [dress/nail colors/necklace/other accessories]”. Just make sure you’re knowledgeable enough about women’s fashion before using the last one so your compliment will seem genuine. Anyone who knows how to pick up a girl will not let small matter like that blows their chances.
You WILL get rejections and it may not always your fault; she may have a bad day or already interested in someone else. Either way, you need to know when to back off with dignity rather than being clingy and needy, forcing your luck and end up as a pathetic failure. Anyway, you won’t get anything if you afraid to get a few bruises during the battle, so suck it up and go to the next butterfly (not immediately though).
If she gives positive reaction to your opener, the real battle begins. It is time for you to demonstrate your value as the man she can enjoy herself with. Keep her entertained by throwing humor (avoid making yourself looked stupid though), keep the conversation under your control, never seek for her approval, keep the conversation around her issues, keep yourself mysterious, keep maintain body language that reflect your self-confidence, do not avoid eye contact, continue flirting and teasing her as a sign that you’re interested in her.
During the conversation, make sure you portray yourself as the “man without problem”; this doesn’t mean you don’t have any problem, but you solve your own problem by your own like a real man would do. On the other hand, she can bitching and complaining all she wants, just refrain from making harsh judgment on her situation.
If you already have a little feeling on how to pick up a girl, you’ll notice when the time comes to make progress. If she already convenient with your presence, subtly place yourself so you can have solo conversation with her; it is even better if you can put her on a corner and place yourself between her and the crowd. This is especially good in case you have a competitor trying to butt in. At this stage, try some light touch on her arm or shoulder to test her reaction; if she back off, release your hand and make a joke about it.
The next step is isolating her from her group by asking her to the bar to get drinks or dance at the dance floor. If you confidence in your dancing skill, this is the right time to put it into good use, just avoid overdoing it and end up humiliating yourself. During your time together, keep making body contact; if she reacts by smiling, tease you in return, and keep her eye on you, you’ve got great sign. At this point, even if you can’t bring her home tonight for some reasons, getting her number will not pose as a difficult task.
Now that you know how to pick up a girl in theory, go out and practice it. You’ll fail several times, but if you hold onto your ego and afraid to be hurt, you’ll never come home with the big prize. So either get a few bruises and come home with a hot girl or retain your ego and come home alone feeling sorry for yourself. It’s your choice.
